Major re-design to the headquarters of a large American fashion brand located in Jacksonville, Florida.
We acted as Architectural Consultant to BSUR, an Amsterdam-based design and branding agency tasked with modernising both the brand and the headquarters, an enormous factory building which had become entirely unsuitable as the business had grown.
We directed a solution to the problem of an ageing building in desperate need of a major overhaul to meet the requirements of a large modern company. This included flooding the building with natural light and carving out volumes within to provide opportunities for natural staff interaction and visual connection. The vast double-height space at the centre of the former factory was divided into a staff cafeteria on one side and a design-hub on the other through the addition of a partially-glazed central volume containing back-of-house functions below and office-space above.
